A two-day climb of Mt. Adams with Jeff Parker, Brent Bryan, and
myself. A good climb on a good mountain. The weather was excellent,
in fact it was almost too good on the second day; The brilliant sun
and snow practically roasted us. Contains 35 pictures.

The first trip of our visit to Alaska was a 3-day excursion to Rabbit
Lake. Rabbit lake is only 20 or so miles from downtown Anchorage, but
the terrain was spectacular. Contains 16 pictures.

After the Rabbit Lake trip we took the train from
Anchorage to Whittier, and then the ferry from Whittier to Valdez.
From there we hitchhiked into Wrangell - St. Elias National Park. Our
first trip in Wrangell - St. Elias was to Dixie Pass. Contains 21 pictures.

After completing our excursion to Dixie Pass we hitchhiked up the
reminder of the gravel road to the McCarthy/Kennicott area, site of an abandoned mining operation. We
spent four days exploring the area. Contains 28 pictures.

After Dave left for Seattle, I headed to Denali National Park for a 5
day trip. I rode up with two girls I met at a youth hostel in
Anchorage, and then spent 4 days exploring a tiny fraction of the most
renowned National Park in Alaska. Contains 56 pictures.

I used my first day off to Hike to Stehekin via Devore
Creek with Dave and Noel. We went as far as Tenmile Pass on Sunday,
and finished the hike on Monday. Contains 18 pictures.

I did a quick trip up to Cloudy Peak from the 10th - 11th. On
Thursday I hiked up to Cloudy Pass, stashed my gear and climbed Cloudy
Peak, and then returned to spend the night near the pass in my bivy
sack. I then got up at 4:30am on Friday in order to break camp and
get back to the village in time to be at work by 8:30. Contains 33 pictures.

Pictures from a 3-day hike in the Wallowas of North-Eastern Oregon (Eagel Cap
Wilderness) with Dave Shelly. There are some Happy Click pictures from the
drive from Whitman to the mountains and back, and scanned pictures from Dave's
camera from the actual hiking. The battery in my camera died after taking just
three pictures on the trip. Contains 41 pictures.

trip on the North Fork Mountain Trail. April 2nd to 3rd. Contains 121 pictures.

A quick one-night solo backpacking trip at Bear Run Nature Reserve, near
Fallingwater. Contains 27 pictures.

Soon after Stewart's return from Russia we set off into the Olympic mountains to
do some climb. Mt. Cruiser was our first summit, a fine bit of alpine rock
climbing with great views and impressive exposure. Contains 81 pictures.

After climbing Mt. Cruiser, Stewart and I drove around to the other side of the
Olympics to climb Mt. Olympus, the highest peak in the range. The approach
hike through the Hoh river valley is beautiful but long, and the climb itself
provides great views, not to mention a chance for both glacier travel and rock
climbing (on the summit tower). Contains 83 pictures.

A mellow one-night backpacking trip into Lake Caroline. Stewart and I were planning on going and climbing the Becky Route on Liberty Bell, but my elbows were acting up badly so we did this instead. We did get in a little scrambling on the ridge above the lake before hiking out. Contains 15 pictures.
