the 26th and scanned pictures from a truly awesome hike the same day.

After leaving Grand Teton NP I headed for the Wind River Mountains. I decided
to only do a day hike because I was eager to reach a Hostel and get a shower,
and also wanted to stay ahead of the weather. But the Winds appear to be a
terrific range. Awesome expanses of granite and pine, beautiful mountains, and
fewer people than in the Grand Teton / Yellowstone area. Contains 18 pictures.

Jeff Parker and I climbed Long's Peak, one of Colorado's
many forteeners. It was a good climb, despite the smoke from a nearby
forest fire that obscured views somewhat (but made for a beautiful
sunrise). We left Jeff's house around 1:00am, and started climbing
around 3:30am, summited around 8:50am or so, and were off the mountain
by early afternoon. Contains 55 pictures.

A day hike to Slippery Rock Gorge (in McConnell's Mill State Park). The fall

was a naked guy in the woods (no pictures, don't worry) but it was overall an
enjoyable day. Contains 61 pictures.
